HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHY
ABOUT SHOOTING::
I like to have fun and make shooting your Headshots an enjoyable, stress-free experience. I shoot in natural light settings, mostly exteriors, using nature's elements, with added enhancement, to create light and composition.
I shoot only one client per day, so there's ample time for us to work and get to know each other. There's lots of room for makeup and changing in my comfortable 1919 historical space.
All of your Headshots are shot in digital RAW format which produces the best skin tones and quality image. I will work with you on wardrobe to get the best look for you.
TURNAROUND TIME:
Due to the practices of some photography businesses, a lot of people expect a CD immediately following their photosession. I do things a little differently, however; instead of burning a CD and saying "see ya later!", I take the time to go through and edit all of your Headshots. I sharpen, adjust contrast/color, smooth skin tones, tweak and re-tweak all of the images to look the way I want them to look, which is great! Digital RAW photography, when done correctly, requires time in the "digital darkroom" to make the images look their best. I'm all about quality! That way, you'll be able to easily choose your best shots. Your final prepped proofs will be available on CD in about a week or so after our shoot. It takes time to work on these images, so be patient!
WARDROBE::
After our initial Headshot consultation, bring 6-10 clothing options, depending on your package. It's best to wear medium shades in colors that enhance your eyes, hair and skin. Solids can get boring, so bring layering options such as denim jacket, sweatshirt, cardigan, v-neck sweater, jacket, etc. Fitted looks are better, & preferred to any oversized clothing. Keep buttons, pockets and collars simple and to a minimum. Avoid loud patterns and NO white.
MAKEUP/HAIR:
$150 for one look. I highly recommend make up and hair to my clients for a professional look. For children under 12, makeup isn't usually necessary, however it can help to have a professional look with hair mostly. ***If you're doing your own makeup, please remember--you want to look like you do every day--these are not glamour shots. And please use matte makeup and lipstick, preferably for HD, and no sparkles or metallic products.
RETOUCHING:
Basic retouching is available at $25 per image. This includes contrast, light, color correction, touching up of blemishes, stray hairs & shadows, and whitening of eyes and/or teeth. Further retouching can be done for additional cost to be determined
ON-LINE PROOFSHEET:
You have the option of viewing the photos on a secure website at my photo lab; cost is $20 if not included with your package. My clients also receive a 20% discount on any orders placed at the photo lab.
PRICING:
I offer 3 packages to fit your needs.
Pkg 1: "Refresher/Starter" 1-2 wardrobe changes. $175
This is a great package with a couple of quick set-ups to get you started out there, or to add to your existing shots. Arrive camera ready!
Pkg 2: "The Standard" 3 wardrobe changes. $275 (includes 2 retouched images)
This is the most popular package, and provides a good variety of looks for commercial and theatrical.
Pkg 3: "The Luxe" Up to 6 wardrobe changes. $395 (includes 3 retouched images and on-line proofsheet)
This package offers you an afternoon of shooting giving us a chance to get a great variety of looks and backgrounds. Snacks are included!
All packages include a CD of all adjusted proofs. CD is $30 if mailed to you.
Your end result will be a CD of betweem 100-250 hi resolution digitally processed jpg images,depending on your package. Any more than that will drive agents crazy!
DEPOSIT:
$50 (cash, check or paypal) will reserve your date for shooting, and will applied to the total cost of your session. Balance of payment is due upon completion of shooting. 3% charge for using Paypal.
RE-SCHEDULING/CANCELLATION/NO-SHOW::
Please give me a 72 hour (3 days) courtesy notice to re-schedule or cancel. We all have busy lives!
Without at least a 72-hour notice, I'm unable to refund deposit. I f you have to re-schedule, and do so within 72 hours, deposit will be applied to your new appointment.
No show: I am unable to refund your deposit.

KIDS PKG: - Basic 3 wardrobe - Age 10 and under, $175
Includes smiles, CD of adjusted proofs & 2 retouched images.
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY:
The work of the wedding photographer is not finished on the wedding day. Each image is then transferred to a computer and individually adjusted (digitally processed) for optimal proof viewing. After your final images (up TO 200) are chosen from either on-line or CD, those images are then each fully adjusted to high resolution print quality and burned onto a CD for you to keep.
GENERAL WEDDING INFORMATION:
All photos are shot in high quality digital RAW format.
Choose up to 200 images for a final CD of print-ready images that you can take to a photo lab to get your beautiful prints made. I can advise you on which photo labs to use for the best quality and price.
You can also post these 200 images securely on-line for viewing by family and friends at an additional cost.
Order wedding albums and photo products from the on-line site too!
