ABOUT ME: I've been shooting actors headshots for many years and will get the shots you need to succeed! While shooting on-set movie stills for over 16 years, I naturally went into shooting actors headshots. Using the lighting techniques I use on an exterior filmset combined with my expertise in shooting, we'll capture the characters in you! My background is in Cinematography & Fine Art photography(UCLA). I love shooting headshots, and we'll have fun while we get shots that make you shine!
ABOUT SHOOTING:I like to have fun and make shooting your headshots an enjoyable stress-free experience. I shoot in natural light settings, mostly exteriors, using nature's elements with added enhancement, to create light and composition.
I shoot only one client per day, so there is ample time for us to work and get to know each other. There is lots of room for makeup and changing in my comfortable 1919 historical apartment.
All digital images are shot in full resolution RAW format which produces the best skin tones and quality image. I will work with you on wardrobe to get the best look for you. Together we can create the headshots that will work for your success.
TURNAROUND TIME: Because of some photography business practices, a lot of people expect a CD following their photosession. I do things a little differently however, instead of burning a CD and saying "see ya later!". I take the time to go through and edit all of your images. I sharpen, smooth skin tones, tweak and re-tweak all of the images to look the way I want them to look, which is great! Digital photography, when done correctly, requires time in the "digital darkroom" to make the images look their best. I'm all about quality! Your final prepped proofs will be available on CD about a week after our shoot. It takes time to work on these images, so be patient!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
DEPOSIT: $50 (cash,check or Paypal) will reserve your date for shooting, and will be applied to the total amount.If using Paypal, a surcharge is added to cover their fees.
MAKEUP/HAIR: $100-$125. I highly recommend make up and hair to my clients for a professional look. For children under 12, makeup isn't usually necessary. ***If you're doing your own makeup, please remember--you want to look like you do every day--these are not glamour shots. And please use matte makeup and lipstick.
WARDROBE: After our consultation, bring 6-10 clothing options. It's best to wear medium shades in colors that enhance your eyes,hair & skin. Solids can get boring, so bring layering options such as denim jacket, sweatshirt, cardigan, sweater, jacket, etc.) Fitted looks are better, & preferred to any oversized clothing. Keep buttons, pockets and collars simple and to a minumum.
RETOUCHING: I include basic retouching with each package I offer. This includes contrast, light, color correction, touching up of blemishes, stray hairs & shadows,and whitening of eyes. The number depends on which package you choose.
SCHEDULING: Please give me a 72 hour courtesy notice to re-schedule or cancel. We all have busy lives!
CANCELLATION without at least 72 hour notice or no-show, I'm unable to refund deposit. $25 re-scheduling fee will be charged if re-scheduled without 72 hour notice.
Your end result will be a CD of about 125-300 hi res digitally processed jpg images, the amount varying with the package you choose. Any more than that will drive agents crazy!
Web Gallery: You can have the option of viewing the photos on a secure website at my photolab. They also give my clients a 20% discount on any orders they place.

PRICING: I'm currently offering 3 packages as follows. All packages include free consultation and a CD of all digitally adjusted/processed proofs. Makeup is not included in prices:
BARE BONES PKG - $150 - 1 hour session, 2 wardrobe changes/looks, 2 retouched images. This is a great package with a couple of quick set-ups to get you started out there, or to add to your existing shots. Arrive camera ready!
REGULAR PACKAGE - $225 - 2-3 hour session, Up to 4 wardrobe changes/looks, 3 retouched images. This package provides a good variety of looks for commercial and theatrical.
BEST PACKAGE - $350 - Up to 6 wardrobe changes/looks. 4-5 hour photosession. 6 retouched images. On-line proofsheet. This package offers you an afternoon of shooting giving us a chance to get a great variety of looks and backgrounds. Snacks included!
You have the option to purchase the on-line proofsheet, if not included with your package, for an additional $20. You can take advantage of the 20% discount at my lab, either way.
